This renovation project of a dwelling located in the Ruzafa neighborhood arises as a response to the need to modernize the finishes of a home that had already been renovated more than ten years ago. The intervention focuses on reorganizing certain spaces within the apartment, restoring the original charm of the building in contrast with modern finishes and features.
This operation allows for the creation of more spacious and flexible areas, while optimizing circulation and eliminating residual spaces. The new layout establishes a clearer reading of the dwelling, where the public and private areas are properly hierarchized.
At the same time, a comprehensive upgrade of the building systems is undertaken, incorporating air conditioning systems through exposed ducts and solutions aimed at energy efficiency, discreetly integrated within the design. Special attention is given to construction details and the integration of technical elements in order to maintain a clean and orderly spatial reading.
The material proposal is resolved through a neutral and timeless palette, with continuous finishes in light tones that enhance the perception of spaciousness and brightness. Custom carpentry and integrated elements provide functionality and storage capacity without altering the overall formal clarity.
The result of the renovation is an exclusive two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, one of them en suite, with a spacious living-dining area and kitchen connected to a sunny terrace. The project perfectly harmonizes the building’s classical essence with the demands and finishes of contemporary living.
