Comprehensive renovation of a penthouse in Arrancapins, Valencia.

The reform of this penthouse was based on improving its benefits while preserving the original essence of the property. The penthouse originally had a practical and functional distribution, which allowed the renovation to focus entirely on the finishes.

The main transformation took place in the living-dining room area, where the façade hole was enlarged to connect the interior and exterior through a large window. This carpentry presides over the room, flooding the interior of the property with natural light. In the kitchen, an open concept in a modern style was chosen, in contrast to the original hydraulic floors. The needs plan contemplated housing an office area, for which the smallest bedroom was sacrificed. This space was left open to the corridor to reduce its length and increase the luminosity. In this way, a more pleasant work environment was also achieved. The old kitchen became the space for the bathroom. The style followed a modern line and, given its size, allowed it to house the laundry area and a large pantry.

The choice of floors was in line with the reform project, functionality with its own character. In this sense, the placement of ceramic floors with a wood effect reduced maintenance and increased their useful life, achieving the feeling of warmth that parquet provides. Continuing with the premise of preserving the original essence of the penthouse, all the wooden carpentry and the old marble sink were restored and the high ceilings were maintained in all the rooms. At the other extreme, heating was installed using a gas boiler and double-glazed carpentry to improve the performance of the property.

The icing on the cake was its careful interior design, based on furniture made up of restored vintage-style pieces. Its mission was to increase the character and uniqueness of the complex. The end result is an exclusive penthouse with two bedrooms and an office, a large bathroom with utility room and a living room-dining room-kitchen space open to the terrace.
