Comprehensive renovation of a small apartment in Ruzafa, Valencia.
This renovation project of an apartment in Ruzafa is the result of a real estate investment made by a former client of Cicerone. His full satisfaction with our previous work was a determining factor for the owner to trust us again for this project.
The property had beautiful architectural elements, which the owner wished to preserve in order to maintain the original charm of the flat. In contrast, the choice of materials and the new distribution of spaces followed a modern line, with an industrial touch. This fusion of styles was evident in every detail of the renovation, creating a unique and special character. A clear example of this combination of styles can be seen in the living area, where the new parquet floor delicately embraces a "carpet" created with original hydraulic tiles.
The longitudinal layout of the apartment, together with the client's taste for open spaces, inspired the creation of a single open-plan area around which the rest of the living area is organised. The separation of the bedrooms by means of metal joinery successfully managed to visually connect all the spaces, generating a pleasant feeling of spaciousness. The folding metallic joinery that covers the rear façade emphasises this sensation and allows light to flow from one end of the property to the other.
The constructive typology of the ceilings, with a wooden structure and beams, together with the presence of numerous exposed partition walls and the choice of parquet flooring, impregnate the flat with warm, earthy tones. To soften this palette, touches of white were incorporated in the kitchen and the master bedroom, where the exposed brick partitions were coloured. The black colour of the metal joinery provided the industrial and elegant touch that the owner was looking for. Careful lighting and a meticulous selection of furniture complete this sublime renovation project.
