This 120 m² apartment in the centre of Valencia underwent a complete transformation to adapt to a more contemporary lifestyle. The starting point was rethinking the original layout removing partitions and hallways to maximize usable space and, above all, to allow natural light to reach every corner of the home.

The project was organized around a very clear floor plan. The heart of the apartment became a continuous space integrating the living room, dining area, and kitchen. By moving away from compartmentalized rooms, the team achieved a much broader sense of space, where the kitchen was designed as a discreet, clean-lined volume that blends visually into the living area through understated finishes.

The sleeping area consists of three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en suite), where simplicity and material consistency took center stage. For the bathrooms, neutral-toned wall coverings, wall-hung vanities, and concealed faucets were chosen decisions that helped achieve the timeless, uncluttered look the owners were seeking.

The main thread connecting the entire renovation was the vinyl flooring laid in a herringbone pattern. This flooring runs uninterrupted throughout the entire surface, acting as a unifying element and providing a warm base for the rest of the design. On the technical side, everything was handled with the same discretion: both the recessed lighting and the ducted air conditioning were integrated into the false ceilings to preserve the visual purity of the spaces.

The result is a serene, well-proportioned home in the middle of the historic center. A project where every decision was driven by the search for a balance between functional spaces, warm materials, and the flow of natural light.
