Comprehensive reform of an exclusive apartment in El Cabañal, located in front of the sea.
This project arose from the need to carry out a complete refurbishment of an apartment located on the first floor of an old fisherman's house on the seafront in the traditional neighbourhood of El Cabañal. On this occasion, Cicerone took on the role of construction company to carry out the reform project drawn up by an independent architectural studio.
The design of the project pursues a simple but elegant style, with a coastal touch as a nod to its seafront location. The renovation succeeds in preserving some of the original charm, combined with the comforts and necessities of modern living. A common feature of the refurbishment is the use of light tones on most of the surfaces of the house, which enhances the brightness and colours of the different furnishing elements.
The interior woodwork and much of the exterior woodwork has been restored and conserved, harmonising its tone and style with the rest of the new woodwork in the apartment. The kitchen follows the line of simplicity and elegance present throughout the renovation. Despite its reduced size, its open design to the hallway and details such as the height of the ceilings or the presence of a skylight allow light to enter and generate a pleasant feeling of spaciousness. As for the floors, a continuous flooring of micro-terrazzo in light tones has been chosen to create continuity in the spaces. To make the most of the available space, given the height of the ceilings, several storage spaces have been created in the form of mezzanines.
